A local "hero" takes a piece of city property in Encinitas, CA and with his own money, turns it into a beautiful rock garden that brings his community together. In the process, he needs to convince the city that this garden needs to take place and not stay as a overgrown plot of land for homeless people and trash.
Our local "hero" is Dave Dean and his beautiful Rock Garden is in the city of Encinitas, California. In a time in which the Country was divided in 2020, I went to a local community to find people coming together. This Rock Garden is an attraction on the map in which hundreds of people from all over the world have come to visit and partake in the inspiration and creativity that this Garden produces.

A Live Fundraiser, hosted by Cali Cream Ice Cream in Encinitas, and an Indiegogo Campaign were created to create more awareness to this Encinitas and surrounding communities. An afternoon with Musician and Magician entertained the crowd while waiting for ice cream. A raffle drawing with product donations from local Encinitas businesses further enhanced the excitement of the afternoon.
